Acer H61h2-ad Motherboard Manual

Acer does not provide independent BIOS updates for the H61H2-AD. You must download the Windows flash utility from your desktop model’s support page. The update will be packaged as an .exe that runs under Windows 7/8.

The manual highlights support for the LGA 1155 socket. This is the defining feature of the board. It supports the "Sandy Bridge" architecture. If you are looking to upgrade this system today, the ceiling is quite low. You can install an i7-2600 or i5-2500, but you cannot install 3rd or 4th generation Intel chips without swapping the motherboard.
