Akruti 7.0: Install

Double-click Setup.exe (now configured).

  • Destination Folder: Keep default (C:\Program Files (x86)\Akruti 7.0). Click Next.

    Akruti 7.0 is not just a font; it is a suite of tools: Double-click Setup

    Key Note: Akruti 7.0 uses a legacy encoding system (often called Kruti Dev encoding). It is not Unicode. This is why specialized installation is required. If you try to simply copy fonts to the Windows Fonts folder, the typing logic will fail. Before diving into the akruti 7

  • Verify fonts:

    • If the installer crashes immediately, run:

    sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Then reboot and retry.

    Installation is only half the battle. You must now configure Akruti to type in MS Word.
