In short: BetterRepack is the "plug-and-play" version of AA2 that Illusion should have released globally.

Vanilla AA2 runs at 1024x768. On a 1440p or 4K monitor, this looks terrible. The BetterRepack comes pre-patched with widescreen support (1080p, 1440p, and ultra-wide) and a scaled UI that doesn't stretch text. artificial academy 2 betterrepack

Even with the repack, issues can arise.
