Better Radiance: V3 1.0.0

We tested Better Radiance v3 1.0.0 across three popular titles: The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Minecraft (Java + Iris). The test rig: RTX 3070, i7-12700K, 32GB RAM, 1440p resolution.

| Title | v2.4 (FPS) | v3 1.0.0 (FPS) | Image Quality Difference | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | The Witcher 3 | 82 | 76 | Massive (Shadow banding eliminated) | | Cyberpunk 2077 | 58 | 55 | Moderate (Better neon light separation) | | Minecraft | 144 | 132 | High (No more white-out sky) |

Conclusion: You lose between 6-12% FPS compared to v2, but the visual fidelity improves by roughly 40% in dynamic range situations. For most users, this trade-off is worth it. better radiance v3 1.0.0

The heart of V3 is the new A.S.E. technology. Unlike previous versions that applied a global brightness curve, the A.S.E. evaluates every pixel individually.

As with any major release, early adopters have reported edge cases. Here are solutions to the top three problems. We tested Better Radiance v3 1

Problem: The screen turns completely black or white upon loading. Solution: Your GPU driver may have cached old shader binaries. Delete the dxgi_cache or reshade_cache folder in your game directory. Then, in Reshade settings, toggle "Performance Mode" off and on.

Problem: ZTAA causes a "watercolor" effect around character hair. Solution: This is temporal reconstruction hysteresis. Navigate to ZTAA_settings and increase the "Color Clipping Threshold" to 0.4. This tells the algorithm to trust the current frame more aggressively. For most users, this trade-off is worth it

Problem: The HDR calibration looks washed out on my LG OLED. Solution: Ensure Windows HDR is enabled before launching the game. Then, within Better Radiance, select the "PQ (ST.2084)" profile and manually set "Max Nits" to match your TV (e.g., 800 for LG C-series, 1000 for Sony A95L).

| Setting | Performance Impact | Suggested Value | |--------|------------------|------------------| | Ambient Occlusion | High | Off (if FPS < 40) | | Depth of Field | Medium | Off for gameplay, On for screenshots | | Reflections | Low-Medium | On | | Skylighting | High | Off or Low | | Water | Medium | On |
