Casmate relies on a parallel port (LPT1) dongle for authentication. Virtual PC 2007 does not support direct LPT passthrough to the host’s physical port.
The workaround: Use a hardware USB to LPT adapter that has a virtual LPT port driver (e.g., Startech or generic CH340 LPT). Install this driver on the Host (Windows 7 64-bit), then share the USB device to the XP Mode VM.
Result: You click "Print" or "Post" in Casmate inside XP, it sees LPT1:, sends the cut file, and your CNC router wakes up.
