Step 1: Enter the Harrowing Reach via the Old Forest. Ensure you have a Light Source (torch, magic light, or luminous potion) – darkness in the Reach reduces your accuracy, making lever hunts frustrating.
Step 2: Clear the immediate enemies (Web Mages drop useful Antidote reagents). Do not engage the Dread Widow’s main web-gate yet.

Step 4: Return to the chest. Read the color order again if you forgot: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow.
Step 5: Press the buttons in that exact order. Do not double-click. Do not pause longer than 3 seconds between presses (the puzzle has a hidden internal timer; hesitation resets it).
Step 6: Upon success, the chest will click open with a satisfying “THUNK.”

Further inspection reveals four levers hidden elsewhere in the Harrowing Reach. The puzzle’s only in-game hint comes from examining the chest repeatedly: “The sigils pulse in a rhythm... red, then blue, then green, then yellow.”
