Edirol HyperCanvas is a virtual instrument originally developed by Edirol (Roland subsidiary) that emulates layered synth/keyboard sounds and includes sample-based pads and textures. It was distributed in the 2000s as part of Roland/Edirol software bundles and has since become legacy software not actively maintained.

Originally, Edirol Hyper Canvas was a popular software sound module in the early 2000s, known for its lightweight GM2 (General MIDI 2) sound set. It was widely used for quick MIDI playback, game music, and basic arranging. Roland (Edirol’s parent company) discontinued it years ago.
