Adjustment Program Reset L380-l383-l385-l485 — Epson
The Adjustment Program cannot talk to the printer in normal mode. You must boot into a low-level service interface.
Procedure:
The following models share a common firmware and adjustment mechanism:
| Model | Key Features | |-------|---------------| | L380 | All-in-one (print, scan, copy), EcoTank | | L383 | Similar to L380, region-specific variant | | L385 | Wi-Fi + Ethernet connectivity | | L485 | Fax + ADF (Auto Document Feeder) | EPSON Adjustment Program Reset L380-L383-L385-L485
Typical error triggers:
For heavy users, drill a small hole in the back of the printer, attach a silicone tube from the printer's internal pump to an external bottle. You can then reset endlessly without fear of flooding.
Cause: The physical waste ink pad is actually full, or you reset only one of the two counters. Fix: The Adjustment Program cannot talk to the printer
Using the EPSON Adjustment Program involves connecting the printer to a computer and running the program. The user then selects the specific function they wish to perform, such as resetting the waste ink counter. The program communicates with the printer to carry out the selected action.
The program will now search for the printer. Ensure your USB cable is securely connected. If the program says "No printer found," go to your Windows Devices & Printers, remove the printer, and let Windows reinstall the basic driver.
EPSON printers are equipped with a mechanism to track the amount of ink waste generated during the printing process. This waste ink is collected in a sponge or ink pad within the printer. When this pad becomes saturated, the printer may stop functioning and display an error message, indicating that it needs service. This is a protective measure to prevent ink from overflowing and damaging the printer's internal components. You can then reset endlessly without fear of flooding
These four models belong to the same family of first-generation EcoTank printers. They share the same printhead technology, waste ink pad design, and firmware logic. A single Adjustment Program version (often v1.0.0 to v1.5.0) works for all four.
