The standard manual ignores rail lubrication for the first 6 months. Wrong. Using a silicone-based lubricant (never WD-40) on the guide rails before attaching the rolling pedal carriage reduces friction noise by 90% immediately.

The manual says "assemble on a flat surface." The BETTER manual says: Assemble on a hard, level floor (tile or concrete) using a rubber mat. Carpet allows the rear stabilizer to twist over time, leading to a wobbly pedal stroke. Connect console cables (upper to lower wire)
