If you’ve tried other guides, here’s why they broke:

Before replacing any files, always back up your original progression.

Rename or move the existing SaveGames folder to your desktop. The game will create a new one when launched.

A: Yes, but the path is different: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\F.E.A.R. 3\Saves\

F.E.A.R. 3 ties your save to your online profile (even in single-player). Simply copying a save file often results in “Save data is corrupted” or “Unable to load”. To make it work, you need to use a profile swap method.
