For the uninitiated, Gazonga Chronicles is a hybrid visual novel/dungeon crawler created by solo developer JollyTheDev, known for his previous cult hits like "Toast Simulator 2099" and "The Unethical Mailman."
The premise is simple on paper, but insane in execution: You play as Glimbo Thistledown, a depressed accountant who accidentally swallows a sentient, glowing artifact known as "The Gazonga." This artifact gives you the power to see "The Glorp," a hidden dimension layered over reality where taxes are paid in puns and gravity is merely a suggestion.
Volume 01 ended on a cliffhanger: Glimbo transformed into a three-legged couch.

The original game had a rigid turn-based system. In v02, JollyTheDev has introduced a real-time "jiggle physics" system for everything. Not just characters—everything. Trees jiggle. Dialogue boxes jiggle. The menu screen has a slight, unnerving wobble.

The Gazonga Chronicles Volume 02 demonstrates that the dichotomy between performance and developer experience is a false dilemma. By rethinking how we handle state and transport at the foundational level, we can build systems that are both faster and easier to maintain.
Volume 02 introduces the "Chronicle Log." This is an immutable append-only log that tracks state transitions not just for persistence, but for real-time synchronization across client nodes.
The map has tripled in size. You can now explore the "Yester-Fluffs" – a temporal paradox zone where your past save files physically walk around as NPCs.
