Q: I’m only using the Victron in off-grid mode. Do I need a grid code? A: No. If the grid input is never connected, you can select “Disabled” or “None” for grid code. In this case, no password is required. However, many installers still set a dummy grid code for future-proofing.

Q: What happens if I enter the wrong password 10 times? A: The device enters a “cooldown” period. For 30 minutes, it will reject all password attempts and may temporarily disable grid connection as a safety measure. Power cycle the device to reset the attempt counter.
