If using a physical key:
Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > USB settings > USB selective suspend setting. Set this to Disabled. Windows turning off USB ports to save power looks exactly like a "License Not Found" error to the GT software.
Antivirus software (especially McAfee, Norton, or Windows Defender) frequently quarantines Mitsubishi license files because they act as kernel-level drivers. A Windows update or disk cleanup can also inadvertently delete the license file stored in C:\ProgramData\MELSOFT. gt designer license not found

Headline: Solved: The Case of the Missing GT Designer License 🛠️
Body: If you just installed Mitsubishi GT Designer3 and are getting a "License Not Found" error immediately upon startup, don't panic. Here is the checklist that solved it for me: The error generally falls into one of three categories:
1️⃣ Check the Package: Unlike some other HMI software, GT Designer typically requires a valid license disk or key code. 2️⃣ The Environ Tool: If you have the key, you need to register it via the "License User Registration" tool found in the Start Menu folder (under GT Designer3 > Tool). You can't just paste it into the login screen. 3️⃣ Dongle Check: If you have a hardware key, ensure the drivers are installed. Some versions require the USB key to be inserted before the install.
Hope this saves someone the 2 hours of troubleshooting I just went through! #Automation #Mitsubishi #HMI #EngineeringTips #GTDDesigner
