igfxonln=1 # Force online status (fixes black screen after sleep)
igfxagdc=0 # Disable AGDC (fixes external monitor detection)
-igfxblr # Fix backlight + HDMI issues (laptops)
-igfxhdmidivs # Fix HDMI 2.0 display property issues
agdpmod=pikera      # AMD Navi + HDMI

Here is the cold, hard truth: After 8 years of building Hackintoshes, I have a rule.

Never use native HDMI on a Hackintosh.

DisplayPort is natively what Apple uses. HDMI is an emulated layer.

The solution: Buy a Club3D CAC-1080 or a Cable Matters Active DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adapter. ($25-40 USD) hackintosh hdmi fix

Is it cheating? Yes. Does it work 100% of the time when no patch does? Absolutely.

Typical patches for HDMI:

framebuffer-patch-enable     DATA    01000000
framebuffer-con1-enable      DATA    01000000
framebuffer-con1-type        DATA    00080000

For mobile Intel (laptops), you may also need: igfxonln=1 # Force online status (fixes black screen

framebuffer-portcount        DATA    03000000
framebuffer-stolenmem        DATA    00003001

hda-gfx = "onboard-1"

Then add a layout ID (usually 1, 2, 3, 7, 11, 13, 16, 21). Test via:

alcid=XX

in boot args.

Step 3 – For AMD dGPU:

Step 4 – Check audio output device:
