On 5 August 2024, a security researcher using tools from Pack 403 discovered a privilege escalation vulnerability in a popular Asian fintech app’s backend. The researcher responsibly disclosed it using the pack’s own ShadowBridge protocol. This led to a CVE (CVE-2024-40329) whose number mirrors the pack’s date—a complete coincidence that fueled community mythology.
