To prove the point, we ran a test on two identical HTRC T240 Duo units. One ran stock firmware (v1.8), and the other ran the latest update (v2.4).
The most common complaint about older HTRC T240 Duo firmware is aggressive balancing. Older versions often over-correct, causing the charger to bleed off voltage from high cells too quickly, generating excess heat and wasting energy.
