Film ini bercerita tentang Jennifer Hills, seorang penulis wanita yang pindah ke rumah terpencil untuk menyelesaikan novelnya, lalu menjadi korban pemerkosaan brutal oleh sekelompok pria lokal. Setelah mengalami trauma dan kegagalan sistem hukum untuk menegakkan keadilan, Jennifer mengambil tindakan balas dendam dengan cara yang sangat kejam terhadap pelakunya.
