Icao Doc 9868 Upd

Previously, EBT was a recommendation. In the updated Doc 9868, EBT is codified as the gold standard for recurrent training for airline transport pilots. The update provides:

  • Syllabus redesign and competency mapping (Months 2–4)
  • Infrastructure and tools (Months 3–6)
  • Instructor development (Months 4–8)
  • Scenario development and validation (Months 5–9)
  • Pilot courses and assessment (Months 8–10)
  • Quality assurance and full roll-out (Months 10–12)
