Yes. Many AVs (Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Windows Defender) still flag R2R tools as “hacktool” or “riskware” regardless of the certificate. You will likely need to add exceptions to your AV folder for your VST plugins folder. Open the Microsoft Management Console (MMC):
This is normal. You are forcibly adding it to the Trusted Root store. Use the Local Machine method above; user-store installation may not work for all applications. Add the Certificates Snap-in:
