Kess V2 Install Windows 10 -

If your Kess shows "Hardware ID mismatch" or "Firmware corrupted," you must flash the clone firmware.


Avoid random torrents – they often contain malware. Look for trusted tuning forums (e.g., Digital-Kaos, MHH Auto).

Recommended version for Windows 10:
Kess V2 v2.23 (stable with most clones) or v2.30 (newer, but picky). Kess V2 Install Windows 10

If test fails:

Success indicator: No yellow triangle. COM port number is between 1–16 (higher can cause software issues). Avoid random torrents – they often contain malware

Windows 10 blocks unsigned drivers by default. Clone Kess V2 units use modified FTDI drivers. This step is mandatory.

  • Run the installer. Install to C:\Kess_V2 (Avoid Program Files due to permission issues).
  • If Windows 10 refuses to cooperate, install Windows 7 inside VMware Workstation Player (free). Pass the USB device to the VM. Windows 7 has no driver signature enforcement – Kess V2 will run perfectly.
