Using a mixed‑methods approach—content analysis of the video and its comments, semi‑structured interviews with three frequent Indo18 users, and a literature review on Indonesian internet memes—we demonstrate that the video functions simultaneously as (i) a comedic subversion of gendered beauty practices, (ii) a site of consumer‑brand interplay (perfume as status signifier), and (iii) a participatory ritual that reinforces community identity through “best‑of” playlists.
