The late 90s brought challenges. Electronic drums and synthesizers were taking over. Los Karkis pivoted slightly but never lost their soul.
The first comprehensive compilation. The title means “All the Shit.”
Tracklist: All 8 songs from the two EPs + 4 demo tracks ("Mi chica es un zombie," "T.V. basura," "Cerveza," "No futuro").

Los Karkis emerged from Iquitos, the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, in the 1970s. At the time, the "Amazonic Psychedelia" movement was taking hold, pioneered by bands like Juaneco y su Combo and Los Mirlos. However, Los Karkis carved out a distinct niche. While others leaned into the psychedelic, Los Karkis leaned into the mischievous.
The name "Karkis" itself is derived from the Quechua word qarqi, meaning "scabies" or "mange." It was a self-deprecating nod to their humble origins and a middle finger to the high-society elites who dismissed the music of the working class. They were the "scabby ones," playing for the people.
