This paper examines the career trajectory of video content creators as of September 6, 2024—a symbolic date marking the maturation of the “creator economy” following platform saturation, AI integration, and shifting monetization models. Using mixed methods (interviews, platform data analysis, and career timeline reconstruction), we analyze how creators who started between 2020–2022 have adapted their professional identities by late 2024. Key findings reveal a shift from “viral dependency” to “portfolio careerism,” where creators treat video production as one node in a broader ecosystem of digital assets, consulting, and community-led micro-subscriptions.
