Now you’re playing Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks on your phone with a file smaller than a PSP ISO!
Using a PC, insert your PS2 disc and use ImgBurn to create an ISO file. Name it MK_Shaolin_Monks.iso.
Download CHDMan (part of MAME tools). Open Command Prompt and run:
chdman createcd -i "MK_Shaolin_Monks.iso" -o "MK_Shaolin_Monks.chd"
Result: ~3.8 GB ISO becomes ~1.2 GB CHD (no quality loss).
Note: CDRomance is known for pre-patched, compressed PSP conversions that run on PPSSPP.
To play Shaolin Monks, you must use a PS2 emulator, not a PSP emulator.
Assuming you have downloaded a highly compressed .zip or .7z file (approx. 400MB), follow these steps.
Since you want a PPSSPP-like experience, we’ll emulate PS2 on Android using AetherSX2 (which uses the same interface philosophy as PPSSPP but for PS2). Then we’ll compress the game file.
