Megjithatë, për përdorim personal dhe jo-komercial, shumica e vendeve nuk ndjekin penalisht përdoruesit që shkarkojnë vetëm titra. Ajo që është e paligjshme është shkarkimi i vetë filmit pa leje. Nëse e zotëroni filmin në DVD ose e keni blerë digjitalisht, shtimi i titrave shqip është plotësisht i ligjshëm.
