Released in the twilight of the CD era (2008), Eighties Babies arrived at a strange time for Pretty Ricky. Following the massive success of their 2005 debut Bluestars (featuring Grind With Me) and 2007’s Late Night Special, the group was riding high on the "sex sells" wave.
However, tensions were brewing. Lead singer Pleasure P (real name Marcus Ramone Cooper) was already eyeing a solo career. In fact, Eighties Babies is often considered the last "true" Pretty Ricky album before the lineup fractured.
