If you are a designer creating a logo, a PDF that will be distributed commercially, or a website, you must be careful.
If you do not have Microsoft Office or Windows, you cannot legally download Pristina for free from a random font website. The font is the intellectual property of its creator (often distributed via foundries like Neufville or Monotype), and a desktop license usually requires a purchase.
Pristina is a typeface designed by Jordi Embodas, a typographer from Barcelona. It was released in the late 1990s and is based on the calligraphic handwriting of the designer.
One quirk of Pristina is that letters can feel too spaced out or too crowded depending on the software. In Adobe Illustrator or Canva, try setting tracking to -10 or -20 (negative) to make the script feel more connected. Alternatively, increase tracking to +50 for a luxurious, airy feel on invitations.
