This method temporarily "tricks" the PS4 into thinking it's updating the system, but it actually loads the exploit. Do not update past 11

  • Connect the PS4 controller via USB cable.
  • In the Safe Mode menu, select option 3. Update System Software.
  • Select Update from USB Storage Device.
  • If done correctly, the screen will go black, and you will see text on the screen regarding the update. Press the PS Button on your controller.
  • If successful: The screen will flash white, and GoldHEN will load.
