Navigate to the CustomsForge website and download the "Rocksmith CDLC Enable Patch." This is a DLL file named D3DX9_42.dll. You place this file directly into your Rocksmith installation folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith 2014). This file tells the game, "It is OK to load custom files."
