Rugby — 08 Keyboard Controls
The default keys are objectively bad. Since Rugby 08 does not allow multi-key macro recording natively (without mods), you should manually remap your controls inside the game’s My FIFA 08 (ironically) settings folder or using the in-game "Controls" menu.

How to Change Controls:
Even with perfect knowledge of the keys, players lose because of bad habits. The default keys are objectively bad
Mistake #1: Holding Sprint in the Backline When you sprint with your inside center, you outrun your support players. If you press E (pass) while sprinting, the pass will float behind your winger. Solution: Release Left Shift half a second before pressing Pass.
Mistake #2: Keyboard Ghosting Most standard office keyboards cannot register 3+ keys at once. If you press W + Shift + E, nothing might happen.
Mistake #3: The Dummy Pass Players forget it exists. To dummy (fake pass), press E + Q simultaneously. The ball carrier will fake a pass and step. This is devastating 5 meters from the try line. Practice this combination in the Tutorial mode first.
Rugby 08 is a brutal game—not just for the players on screen, but for your pinky finger trying to hold Right Shift while pressing the Arrow keys. If you struggle to win the World Cup on Hard mode, definitely try the custom remap above. Let's face it: The default layout is awkward
