Body positivity, in its true form, is a social movement that began in the 1960s by fat, Black, and queer activists. It argues that every body deserves respect, dignity, and access to healthcare, regardless of size, shape, or ability.

When you merge body positivity with wellness, you get a lifestyle that follows three core tenets:
