A Silver 6.2 DMG will deliver 124Ah from 12.7V down to 10.5V. But every time you go below 12.0V (approx 50% state of charge), you permanently lose capacity. Install a battery monitor (like a Victron SmartShunt or a $15 voltmeter socket). Recharge when voltage hits 12.1V under load.
If storing for winter:
You shouldn't use this battery for starting a V8 truck (use a dedicated starter battery). However, for these five applications, the Silver 6.2 DMG is nearly perfect. silver 6.2 dmg
The 6.2" width is the star here—or the limitation, depending on your perspective. On a lightweight hatchback (Honda Fit, VW Golf base model), this width offers predictable turn-in and allows a slightly stretched but safe tire fitment. The DMG models I tested weighed 16.8 lbs each, which is average for a cast wheel in this size. Not featherlight, but not boat anchors. A Silver 6
The bad: The center bore on my set was machined 0.3mm tighter than spec, requiring a rubber mallet to seat properly on the hub. A minor annoyance, but a dealbreaker for roadside changes. Recharge when voltage hits 12
